CLASSIC CHACHAPOYAS VIA JAÉN 4 DAYS / 3 NIGHTS

• Arrival to Jaen by Latam airplane, reception at the airport and transfer to Chachapoyas city throughout the Utcubamba Valley where you will observe the landscapes, mountains, rivers like the Marañon and the Utcumbamba and the rice plantations in the Utcumbamba valley, then you will go in the cañon of the same name full of exuberant vegatation of the cloud forest. Then arrival to Chachapoyas and overninght to the selected hotel.

• Breakfast at the hotel at 7:30 am.
• Depart from Chachapoyas at eight thirty a.m. to visit the archaeological monument of Kuelap.  Enroute we will stop to view the ruins of Macro and explain the history and function in relationship with Kuelap.  Then we will take the cable car to La Malca station then continuing on we will tour the fortified Citadel of Kuelap, which dates back to the sixth century AD.

Kuelap

• Our tour will take approximately three hours, and after meeting back at the station to take the cable car to Tingo village and stop for lunch.  In the afternoon we will continue our journey to the valley of Utcubamba and return to Chachapoyas city, overnight at the selected hotel.

• Breakfast at the hotel at 7:30 am

• We depart from Chachapoyas at 8:30 am to the community of Cocachimba, where we will start our hike at ten in the morning, appreciating the two waterfalls, fields of sugar cane and other typical local products.  We will descend into a habitat known as the Cloud Forest in this part of Peru.  This is the habitat of Peru’s national bird, the Andean Cock of the Rock, the yellow-tailed woolly monkey and a multitude of hummingbirds and other tropical birds.  The path ends at the base of the beautiful Gocta waterfall, and then returns to the community of Cocachimba to have lunch. Then our vehicle awaits us to take us to the city of Chachapoyas overnig night at the selected hotel.

• We depart from Chachapoyas at 7:00 am to the City of Jaen, where you will take your airplane to Lima city.
